FT-IR Analysis with Diamond ATR Instrumentation

Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry using the ATR technique allows to analyze microscopic details with dimensions of a few mm.
The ATR analysis shows that the white fragment present on the black plastic component is polythene loaded with titanium dioxide (TiO2).

ATR analysis is a powerful means of investigation on microscopic scale samples, it also allows direct analysis without the need for sample treatment.
